Profitt came west from Kentucky in 1885 and settled at Culdesac, moving to Coeur d' Alene in 1907, and to Orofino in 1938. He was a retired merchant, and had been making his home with his son for several years. He is also survived by another son, Leonard, and 11 grandchildren.
Rosary services were held at the Blake chapel Tuesday evening, and funeral services will be held at the Catholic church here Thursday, the time to be announced. The Rev. Fr. Francis Bonors will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
(Note: Cemetery name Riverside and the spelling of Profitt changed during transcription. The article appeared in the paper on Wednesday the 11th and death occurred on the 9th, leading to the discrepancies in tenses and dates?)
